Low Level Mercury

Katahdin is equipped to perform Method 1631 for Low-Level Mercury Analysis in water. The laboratory has constructed a 'clean room' to perform this analysis under Mercury-free conditions. Katahdin's chemists have been performing Method 1631 since 2001. The results from these studies have shown that the laboratory can consistently achieve a method detection limit as low as 0.08 ppt (ng/L). Development of this method is in support of new State and Federal regulations that are addressing Mercury contamination. Katahdin has invested in this method to become an analytical provider for a national problem.
