March 2007: Katahdin Analytical Services attends DoD Quality Assurance / Environmental Monitoring conference in Albuquerque, NM, in support of its efforts in the Federal sector.

December 2006: On December 7, 2006 Katahdin moved to a new facility located in Scarborough, Maine. The new 12,000 SF facility was built from the ground up to meet Katahdin's specific needs.

December 2005: Katahdin Analytical Services celebrates 10 years in business with a major party. Guests include existing clients, engineers, food industry specialists, wastewater plant specialists, chemists, scientists, architects and site planners, former and existing employees, municipal and state officers. Over 80 people attend.

November 2005: Katahdin Analytical Services attends the National Brownfields Conference in Denver, CO.

October 2005: As a result of Hurricane Katrina, Katahdin Analytical Services is asked to work cooperatively with a national client and EPA to participate in an environmental assessment at Gulf Breeze, Florida. Katahdin Analytical Services organizes a home spun intra-office fundraiser and contributes over $1000 dollars to Samaritan's Purse, a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world (www.samaritanspurse.org)

June 2005: Katahdin Analytical Services attends Louisville Chemistry Guidelines conference in support of its work with the Army Corps.

March 2005: Katahdin brings Methane / Ethane / Ethene analysis online. Starting in the second quarter of 2005, Katahdin will now be offering Methane / Ethane / Ethene headspace analysis (method RSK-175) for its clients. "This analysis is a requirement for most landfill monitoring and will help diversify this laboratory in a critical market. It is also a strong message to our clients in the waste management industry that we are a growing and progressive company, committed to working with the landfill industry" said Gregory Lull, director of Sales and Marketing.

Fall / Winter 2004: The Katahdin Analytical Services microbiological services department adds trans-fats analysis as well as allergen and antibiotic residue testing to its list of services provided. Beer analysis by ASBC methodologies added in November.

July 2004: Katahdin Analytical Services becomes NELAC certified for methods SW846 8330 and 8332 (determination of Nitroaromatics and Nitrosamines explosives).

June 2004: In conjunction with Maine DEP and JETCC, Katahdin Analytical Services presented 4 day-long training sessions across the state of Maine to introduce the and review the recently completed Wastewater Laboratory Quality Assurance / Quality Control Manual. Deb Nadeau, Gregory Lull, and George Brewer led the training classes that were attended by over 200 of the states' wastewater plant operators, industrial pretreatment specialists and DEP staff.

February 2004: Katahdin in conjunction with the Maine Department of Environmental Protection and JETCC is developing and will be presenting a training session on laboratory QA/QC. These training sessions are schedule for: Brewer-June 1st, Presque Isle-June 2nd, Hallowell-June 11th, and Saco-June 12th

January 2004: Katahdin has recently expanded its analytical service capabilities to include food testing and plant audits. Testing is performed in accordance with AOAC and BAM methods.
