About Katahdin

Katahdin Analytical Services, Inc. is a full service environmental laboratory located in Scarborough, Maine providing multi-media environmental analyses of groundwater, wastewater, soil, sediment, tissue, and bulk materials. Katahdin's roots trace back to 1970, when the laboratory was part of a leading New England engineering firm. After several acquisitions and mergers Katahdin was established in 1995.

Katahdin is one of the largest environmental laboratories in New England. Since the laboratory's creation, Katahdin has been involved in a full range of projects in the New England region and throughout the United States. Today, a significant part of our business originates outside the Northeast. Our laboratory services industrial, consulting and engineering firms, and Federal clients nationwide by maintaining state certifications and approvals in all Department of Defense environmental programs.

Katahdin is a woman-owned small business (WBE) and is certified by the Maine Department of Transportation as a woman-owned small disadvantaged business (SDB). Please view our certification.
